i just baught a 2005 xvs 1100 classic with these already on it. i love the look and the sound but unfortunately they are way too loud and have a lot of "back cackle" due to the original jetting. i go to work at 2am and out of respect for the folks next door i have replaced them with the originals. if there is any one that can give any advice as too how to quiet them down i would appreciate it.

They are just slip-ons. You shouldn't need to re-jet your carb.

I installed the Vance & Hines Classics II Exhaust last week and man, o man what a difference! The bike has more pep and the sound is awesome! My 06 vstar classic 1100 never ran better! I will need to re-jet to get the most performance. The Vance & Hines Classics II Exhaust really is an upgrade in appearance compared to the stock mufflers that came with the bike. I would highly recommend this product! The installation was fairly easy. I'm no where near being a back yard mechanic but the instructions provided was enough for me to get the job done!
