The sound is amazing,both quieter than the average Vance & Hines,but not so quiet as to sound like the offerings from H.D. Screamin Eagle. The sound is loud enough to never be mistaken for stock,but does not deafen the rider ! If you have been searching for a middle of the road decibel count,this is your exhaust. HOWEVER---this exhaust does NOT do much for your hp. or tq. unless you compare it to the stock,catalitic containing,crap that H.D. substitutes for an exhaust ! Most any other after market exhaust will give better dyno numbers,but getting rid of the "cats' sure promotes cooling ! Guess the quieter exhaust has both good and bad results !
